Heim Studio was founded by Hanne Ommundsen, a Scandinavian interior designer certified by the Interior Design Institute. Rooted in the principles of Scandinavian design, our style blends warm minimalism with rustic touches.
The word "Heim" means home in Norwegian and that’s at the heart of everything we do. Our goal is to design spaces where people feel truly at home - cosy, comfortable, and connected to their surroundings.
We specialize in transforming living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and home offices into spaces that balance elegance with everyday ease. More recently, after Hanne became a mother herself she has developed a passion for designing nurseries and children’s bedrooms, bringing the same sense of comfort and warmth into spaces designed for little ones.
At Heim Studio, every project is guided by a belief that home should be a place where comfort greets you the moment you step through the door.

This service is ideal for anyone who doesn’t want to hire a full-service interior designer but still wants professional guidance on how to get started - and the confidence to make the right design decisions on their own.
During this 1-hour, in-home session, you can ask any questions you have - from choosing paint colors, wooden flooring, which kitchen or wardrobe wrap to choose, furniture layout and styling.
Together, we’ll walk through the room(s) you’d like help with and provide expert, on-the-spot advice on what can be improved and how to achieve the look you want.
After the consultation, you’ll receive a written summary of everything discussed, so you’ll have a clear plan to move forward without needing to take notes or worry about forgetting important details.

We handle everything for you, from sourcing and purchasing the perfect styling pieces to arranging them beautifully in your home. With carefully selected items like lamps, rugs, vases with greenery, coffee table books, and decorative accents, we transform your rooms into cohesive, welcoming spaces that truly feel lived-in.
The process is effortless and stress-free: we usually source all items within a week of our first meeting, and the styling is completed in just one day.

Just finished renovating and now need your home fully furnished and styled by a professional? Or simply want to invest in new furniture and new decorative items for your home? Our full furnishing/styling package takes care of everything for you.
From consultation to completion, we handle the entire process: design, sourcing, purchasing, deliveries, installation and final styling with decorative items. All you need to do is approve the design, we'll manage the rest.
Please note, we do not take on any projects needing major renovation work such as new kitchens, bathrooms or any structural changes. However, we do take on projects requiring light updates such as painting, wood flooring installation, wrapping kitchens, internal doors, wardrobes or furniture.
